Club Goin’ Up, on a Wednesday

I bought nail polish and a $5 watch with a face that’s bigger than mine, and Matthew bought a shirt that he dreamed about (totally normal) and got a haircut. You may not recognize us today.


Just a simple night, livin’ it up at TJ Maxx! Small nights like this make life fun. And I don’t know of any reason not to have as much fun as possible in this life.

Sometimes we have 6 loads of laundry piled up that we promise each other we’ll  do when we get home, but usually greater priorities take over- like eating dark chocolate and watching Monk. I haven’t cried about it, yet.

Today I’m thankful for sunshine, even though I’m a little bitter that it’s below 75 degrees. I’m dreaming of summer and sporting my new nail polish like everyone else should be jealous.

Leftover Dinner


Pictured: Leftover quinoa, BBQ organic chicken strips (from my crock pot, be real), leftover spinach, sliced grape tomatoes, sliced onions, and organic baked blue corn chips from- all leftover from lunches. All from Trader Joe’s.

I love a dinner that doesn’t make me sweat and lose feeling in my feet in the kitchen. Also, this dinner was faster than the drive-thru.

Get Fizzy With It

“Mama said there’d be days like this, there’d be days like this, my mama said…”

You’re going through your day and then it comes:

Feeling so tired that you just want to nap with the kids.
Feeling so bloated from lunch that you wish unbuttoning was appropriate in corporate life.
Feeling some heartburn-like symptoms from acidic foods.

The list goes on and on.

I keep this jar on my desk of Arbonne Fizz Sticks:

They are plant-based and have amazing herbs like guarana and ginseng, plus whole food B vitamins. They help cut acidity with their strong alkaline levels (learn more about that on my next Facebook Live- just comment below to get added), and help with alertness and focus; two things that are not my strong points after 2:00 p.m. They fizz like a soda, but don’t try to kill you like soda does. So, there’s that.

If I’m feeling especially snazzy, I throw in some frozen strawberries. Boom.
